Decree

I hereby make this decree – I am growing out my hair for the enjoyment of the women and girls in Bangladesh that I will hopefully work with concurrent with the Fulbright Scholarship. They get so much entertainment out of playing with bouncy curls, something I want to bring and give to them if I go back.

If I am not awarded this scholarship, a scholarship that I fully deserve, I will shave my head. If Fulbright believes that I am not worthy or cannot live up to their high standards – then I will continue to create my own standards. If I don’t fit within their own boundaries, I will assert that I have no boundaries.
