ignorance is a lifestyle

It's hard to discover the truth when you are easily given lies. When 'ignorance is bliss,' it becomes a lifestyle. You fear anything other than this bliss that you so carefully wrap yourself in. Fearing anything ‘other,’ fearing a truth, fearing an existence outside of your security blanket. Fear is not bliss. Your existence inside the crowd hides what exists inside you. Because it is not the world that is scary – the scariest part is you. You make your choices, you can hurt yourself, you can love yourself, you have the capacity to change yourself, you have the ability to die – and you are alone through it all. That is what you fear.

But when the crowd in which you so carefully conceal yourself is harvested from this life without judgment – where will you hide? When you are facing your own cold death, where is your blanket named bliss? That ignorance you held onto becomes your shroud.

And when you are face to face with god, how will you explain yourself then?
